| In the winter of 1949, a young Roy Henderson headed by bus to Tallahasse, Florida in hopes of renting a commercial building to start his donut business. Unable to find a suitable location, he decided to return to his home in Waycross. Later that day, an hour layover in Thomasville would set the course for the next 60 years of Henderson history.
